Who we are
A newsroom writing for Arabic speakers in Sweden
Aktarr was founded in 2017 to help build a more inclusive Sweden. We deliver Swedish news in Arabic, from local events to political analysis, giving a growing audience clear insight into the issues that matter.
We believe civic information should be open to everyone. That's why Aktarr is entirely free, no paywall, and fully digital, as part of our environmental commitment.

Can we not just translate our Swedish campaign?
Rarely. A translated text carries references, tone and context written for a different audience. We write in Arabic from the start, for readers who live in Sweden.
Can you work alongside our agency?
Yes. We work either directly with you, or as a specialist audience and distribution partner alongside your existing communications, PR or media agency.
Where is the content published?
On aktarr.se and across our own channels on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. Which channels are used depends on the audience and the objective, not on being everywhere at once.
What does it cost?
It depends on scope, formats and period. We put together a proposal after a first conversation, setting out scope, formats, timing and reporting in writing.
What do we learn afterwards?
You get the campaign figures and what we conclude from them for the next one. What gets measured is agreed in the proposal, so the reporting answers what you set out to achieve.
